On November 7, 2024, we had the pleasure of welcoming the media scouts from María Königin Gymnasium to our school. With an exciting program, they introduced the children in grades 3 and 4 to important topics in the digital world.
The children in Year 3 explored various search engines such as FragFINN and dealt with fake news and the safe use of YouTube Kids. They also learned how to use a note-taking app and played “Monday Painter” to understand the principle of artificial intelligence in a fun way.
For the fourth classes, the focus was on creative work with digital media. The children edited short films with iMovie, received tips on data protection and online security and programmed their own game with the mouse. They were also able to try out the Merge Cube and immerse themselves in the fascinating world of augmented reality.
We would like to thank the media scouts for this inspiring day and their support in guiding the children on their way to safe and responsible media use.
