On today’s hiking day, all classes first gathered in the schoolyard. There, the children from Year 4 who had successfully taken part in the soccer tournament at local level and the swimming competition at district level were honored. They proudly received their certificates for their great achievements.
The day then got off to a sporty start with a joint warm-up. They moved and sang along to the song “Tante Rita” – a successful start to the rest of the morning.
As the current situation with African swine fever (ASF) means that forest excursions are not possible, we opted for a varied sports and games day around the school. The individual classes spent time on the playground and sports field, took part in an in-class dodgeball tournament in the sports hall and were able to let off steam with free play in the schoolyard. Of course, there was also music to keep everyone in a good mood.
Due to the summer temperatures, the school day ended for all children at 11 a.m. with heat-free time. An all-round wonderful day that provided many happy moments despite the restrictions!
