Grandparents’ Day

This school year, Grandparents’ Day was once again held in the elementary school building. The Christmas-decorated sports hall filled up very quickly on Tuesday morning. The morning began with a mass and was rounded off with a varied program.

All the grandparents found a seat and then enjoyed a leisurely breakfast with their grandchildren at the long, decorated tables in the classroom.

The parents, with the support of the teachers and everyday helpers, had already decorated the classrooms and the school building for Christmas the day before. The parents also provided refreshments in the form of cake donations and sandwiches.

The Christmas spirit was quickly established with the first song “Klingeling- Die Weihnachtseisenbahn”. Many performances and songs, which the first and second graders had also prepared, followed. The Christmas play “Santa Claus is on vacation” was particularly funny. At the end, everyone sang “Merry Christmas” together in a large group. The celebration ended with this Christmas message. The grandparents left the Christmas party with beaming faces and the shining eyes of the children also showed that the elaborate preparations had once again paid off.

Many thanks to all the helping hands who made this day possible.
