Traffic training for our first graders: Safe on the road in Heinsberg
On 31.10.2024, our first graders had the special opportunity to take part in traffic training with the police. The police officer first introduced the children to the basics of pedestrian safety in the classroom. Together, they worked out what to look out for in road traffic in order to get from A to B safely.
The new knowledge was then put to the test directly on site in Heinsberg. The children practiced crossing various streets safely, with the steps STAND – SEE – WALK were always observed. This method helps children to move safely in traffic and recognize dangers in good time.
The traffic training was a valuable day for our first graders to learn the basics of road safety and reinforce them with practical exercises. A big thank you to the police for this important training!
