On Wednesday, April 10, classes 3a, 3b and 4 went to the PZ in Meggen. The annual school concert with the Philharmonie Südwestfalen took place there. Under the motto “Globetrotters – music from Germany, Europe and the world”, the pupils embarked on a (fantasy) journey around the world.
Over the last few weeks, they have been practicing diligently in music lessons. A travel song was sung to the famous march “Pomp and Circumstance” by Edward Elgar. There was also a flag dance to a Can Can by Jaques Offenbach. The pupils made various country flags in art class and practiced a choreography with the flags. The tuba was also presented as the musical instrument of the year. There was also body percussion to the melody “Wellerman”.
Everyone sang and danced along diligently and was impressed by the large orchestra.
